Alex is a werewolf hunter, trained by her Jäger-Sucher father after her mother was killed by a werewolf. She's hunted on her own after her father is also killed by a werewolf. In the meantime, Edward, the head of the Jäger-Sucher finds Alex and tasks her with being a spy in Julian's camp as they fear he's creating a werewolf army and no one sent after him has returned. This is the ninth book in the Nightcreature paranormal romance series, mostly dealing with werewolves and hunters. But whereas most of the books focus on the werewolf as the bad guy, here the hunter learns things aren't as cut and dried as they seem. This has added new life to this popular series. Interesting characters, mystery and sexual tension in a remote Alaskan setting.
